Training:

Ingrid Granne graduated from the University of London in 1998 and undertook specialist training in Oxford. She spent four years as a Clinical Research Fellow at Oxford Fertility Unit during which time she was awarded a DPhil from the University of Oxford investigating the role of immune cells in pregnancy and recurrent miscarriage. 2010, she was appointed as a NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer and also completed subspecialty training in reproductive medicine and surgery.

Career Activity:

She was appointed to the University of Oxford as a Senior Clinical Fellow and Consultant in Reproductive Medicine in 2014. At the John Radcliffe Hospital, she is the clinical lead for early pregnancy care and runs the recurrent miscarriage service. She has an active research programme investigating underlying immunological causes of implantation failure and recurrent miscarriage and is the local principal investigator for some national trials for miscarriage treatments.

 

Teaching activity:

Her active role in teaching includes lectures in reproductive immunology to both medical and clinical embryology students at the University. She is a RCOG trainer in Urgent Gynaecology and ultrasound and is one of the directors for the Oxford Deanery sub-speciality training programme in reproductive medicine. She supervises some doctoral students.

Awards and merits:

She is a chief investigator or co-applicant on some active research grants including £300,000 from Finox to investigate the impact of blood and endometrial immune cells on IVF outcome and more than £1.5M for a collaborative EU grant in reproductive health.
